Public Policy Committee Meeting

Charlotte Councilwoman Dimple Ajmera joins Bryan Holladay, at the Innovation Barn, to discuss how local businesses can be more environmentally conscious. This meeting will be a great opportunity to learn how the City of Charlotte can help companies focus on sustainability, improve their recycling efforts and participate in the circular economy. Charlotte Councilwoman Dimple Ajmera

Ajmera is currently serving her second term as a City Council At Large member and chairs the Environment, Engagement and Equity Committee. She and is passionate about helping Charlotte become a global leader in sustainability. She is a champion for sustainable infrastructure and resilient future. She was fundamental in the adoption of the Strategic Energy Action Plan (SEAP) which is the city’s first-ever framework to transition to a low carbon future. Ajmera received the 2019 Blue Sky Award for Public Policy Work by Clean Air Carolina.

The Charlotte Innovation Barn

The Innovation Barn, located at 932 Seigle Ave. is ground zero for Circular Charlotte, a joint project with the City of Charlotte to transition Charlotte to a circular economy. The Innovation Barn is a combination of entrepreneurial businesses, zero-waste initiatives, and a space for people to learn more about the circular economy.
