Pre-pandemic the US Labor Market was under 4% unemployment and in need of workers.

Legislation
The Back to Work Bonus Act would provide bonuses to Americans who go back to work. Any American who was qualifying for Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation benefits would be eligible for a Back to Work Bonuses. Upon certification that a worker has been in the job for four weeks would receive a one-time $900 payment.- NC Congressman Ted Budd.
NC House Bill 128 An Act to Reemploy NC's Workforce Provides for a $1,500 bonus for accepting reemployment within 30 days after the date the act becomes law, or an $800 bonus for accepting reemployment within 60 days after the date the act becomes law. Needs approval from the US Department of Labor to use Federal Pandemic Unemployment funding.
