Should UNC & NC State Leave the AAC?
Conference Realignment
Meeting Street Insights conducted a statewide survey of registered voters in North Carolina from April 25-28. The survey was commissioned by the Carolina Leadership Coalition and the Carolina Partnership for Reform.
The survey was primarily focused on the 2024 election but also included questions on whether or not the University of North Carolina and NC State should leave the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) .
It can be concluded that while UNC fans prefer to remain in the ACC, NC State fans are ready for a conference change. In addition, Duke fans are much more interested in seeing UNC (and NC State) leave the conference.
Election Polling Questions Conclusion
When asking voters whom they would vote for and why, the answers indicated that North Carolina voters are pessimistic about the direction of the country, and their dissatisfaction is evident in their views on President Biden. While RFK Jr. is influencing the presidential race, he is not the main reason for Biden's decline in voter support.
