Join County Commissioner At-Large Leigh Altman and Bryan Holladay, Charlotte Area Chamber Public Policy Chair, for a discussion on Regional Transportation and an update on the local Governmental Transportation Committees. Commissioner Altman is the current chair for MTC and a member of CRTPO.
Leigh Altman has been actively involved in various transportation initiatives as a County Commissioner. Her work has focused on advancing public transit, upgrading infrastructure, and promoting sustainable transportation solutions. She serves on several key transportation-related committees,
Chair of the Metropolitan Transit Commission (MTC): Is the policy board for the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS). The MTC oversees the planning, financing, and implementation of transit services in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, including light rail, bus services, and other public transit initiatives.
Delegate for the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO): This organization focuses on long-term transportation planning, project prioritization, and ensuring regional connectivity for the municipalities within Union, Iredell and Mecklenburg.
She also serves on the Economic Development and Environmental Stewardship Committee for Mecklenburg County.
